Olympics Competition Co-Director

International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

As Co-Director of the Olympics Competition, I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of competition management, ensuring compliance with established rules and regulations, and coordinating with organizers, referees, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations. I serve as the central authority for resolving disputes and addressing issues, maintaining fairness and the integrity of the event while monitoring performance and addressing logistical challenges.

Network for Centers of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge and SUStainable development

I established NAIXUS, a pioneering Network of Excellence focused on leveraging AI and advanced computing to tackle climate change and other global challenges. This network brings together 60 leading research institutions, industry experts, and public organizations, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration across sectors and borders. NAIXUS is designed to foster interdisciplinary R&D, streamline resource sharing, and promote knowledge dissemination, aligning with the European Framework’s goals of sustained scientific integration and excellence. Through it, I have driven a forward-thinking approach to international AI collaboration, positioning IRCAI at the forefront of impactful public-private partnerships.

I helped spearhead the development and launch of the groundbreaking Academic Journal: The Journal of Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development.
